Men’s mental health is often overlooked, although it plays a major role in our overall well being. My purpose in becoming a counselor was rooted in the belief that men would feel more comfortable communicating their thoughts, emotions, or issues with a relatable healthcare provider. It is important to me that we as people can appropriately process through trauma, reframe our thinking, and live life God’s ways. While I am certified to counsel all adults, I believe my purpose is rooted in providing counseling to men, with a special awareness for Black men.

I am a Christian counselor certified by the National Association of Christian Counselors. While creating a safe space for clients to be vulnerable and unfiltered, I provide each individual with realistic applications for reframing their mindset and changing their approach when necessary. I am equipped to counsel in marriage, anxiety, depression, anger, and general life guidance.

No insurance is required. I provide affordable 1 hour virtual counseling sessions. For more information, CLICK HERE to access the intake form. You are one step closer to creating a different outlook for your life.

Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect during a counseling session?

During the first session, I will ask general questions to get to know you a bit better. However, you should come to each session with an idea of what you would like to talk through, work on, or just express. My main priority is to listen and provide feedback if reframing or accountability is warranted. I am there for you, so a session goes based on the information you bring to each session. If you are ever uncomfortable sharing information, that is ok! My only request is that you are honest.

Is everything I say confidential?

Yes, with a few exceptions. There is a very short list of information I am obligated to share if it happens.

  1. If you are immediate danger of harming yourself or others
  2. If there is suspected abuse or neglect
  3. If a court subpoenas records
How many sessions will I need?

This depends on what you need. Some people only require counseling for a few weeks. Some may require years. We will continue to evaluate your progress. However, even if I believe you require more, you can stop at any time.

How will we meet?

All sessions will happen virtually through Google Meets. Once you schedule a session, I will create a calendar invite and the link will be provided.

How often will we meet?

This depends on the need and availability. I am willing to meet as often as my schedule allows. However, a typical cadence is once every week or every other week.

How do I schedule a session?

Your first appointment will be scheduled using the intake form. Once we meet, at the end of each session we will establish when your next appointment will be as I know schedules fluctuate. If you need to reschedule  or add an appointment, you can always message me through Google Voice. Please remember, all cancellation requests must be in at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled appointment. If you schedule your appointment in less than 24 hours, you will be charged a fee. This fee is listed on the intake form.

How much does it cost per session?

This fee is listed on the intake form.
